At the beginning of each camp day, girls complete a short brainteaser to get themselves ready for the day of STEM activities. Here, some campers and a counselor can be seen holding a girl up on a hammock made out of only one long piece of cord.
After the brainteaser, campers get to work on their own engineering design brief. Girls can be aerospace, biomedical, electrical, environmental, mechanical, or software engineers at four different levels, determined by counselors. Left: a camper/software engineer shows off her completed SCRATCH game! Middle: A camper shows off her advanced mechanical engineering project, which is a playground using all seven simple machines. Right: An environmental engineer shows off her windmill!

In the middle of the day, campers rotate through four stations: Science Woman of the Day, Science Station, Math Magic, and What's Inside. Here, some students are learning how to use 3D pens before they apply their skills by creating 3D models of designs they developed online!

In What's Inside, the campers get to take apart various technologies, such as computers, printers, and radios, and complete various activities, such as put back together the item or identify electronic parts inside of it. These girls are getting ready to take apart a video camera, and have all appropriate safety gear on!

During a Science Woman of the Day station, the girls learned about Dr. Antonia Novello, a surgeon who was the first Latina surgeon general of the United States. The campers then got to dissect owl pellets, allowing them to get practice using scientific tools while learning about what owls eat.
